Surf and Turf
Love, is such a sensitive issue to discuss nowadays.
Yet, in this decade and time, it's the subject many fail to understand.
Love isn't just a feeling, it's involves actions.
Actions that either fill or deplete your individual love banks.
Actions directly, yet indirectly, affect how one feels for the people around him or her.
Love is the mere communication between spouses.
Love is a gift from sibling to another.
Love is a warm embrace from a parent to her child.
Love is dinner with 2 brothers who are not blood-related.
Love, is everywhere.
But love is confused my many.
My stand:
Love is not necessarily the strongest between married couples.
It doesn't mean that sharing a bond will spark love in the relationship.
And love doesn't just have to be between a man and a woman.
Confusion, makes love so "untouchable" to many.
One must be first loved before understanding the issue of love.
People speak out of their own experiences.
Opening one's heart to love may be difficult.
But the main problem today is people failing to open their hearts to BE LOVED by others.
One can never water others, before being watered.
One can never love others, before being loved first.
It's never wrong to love others.
Yes, yes.
However, actions must be controlled in the face of certain situations.
Timing is crucial.
And timing to act must be precise.
But who decides the timing?
You know who He is.
It's just like a business/company wanting to launch a new product, but has to wait till the market is ripe before officially opening it's doors for customers.
Now you know why KFC doesn't consistently sell spicy drumlets.
They WAIT, and strike when the time is right.
And they do it seasonally.
Love is just the same.
Once in awhile, gifts are nice. But going overboard may make you a cheesy person.
If you ask me, do I desire to be loved?
Yes, I do.
Everyone does.
You know yourself better than others.
And He knows you better than anyone else in this world.
But sticking to His schedule is what makes the world go round, not by my own timing.
We'll just have to wait and see what's in store for me. =D

Rain
Looking up.
It seemed so quick.
Unknowing feelings of joy.
You were there.
You were there.
I smiled.
Rejoicing in my heart.

bundles of joy
I love kids.
I don't know about you, but to me, children have this charm which brings happiness to my soul just by watching them.
Recently, I've encountered two of the most adorable kids I've met in my life.
I'm pretty flushed that I don't have a picture of them to upload, will take one the next time I meet them.
I'm not sure about this "aura" that kids carry.
I can't explain it.
Seeing them so carefree and relaxed with the things they do, oblivious of the worries of the world.
It lightens the load off my shoulders in a strange way.
And their innocence towards life itself makes them cuter.
Not knowing what's right and wrong.
The seven year old younger brother even thought magic existed when I surprised him with a gift.
Their laughter is also one of a kind.
Getting excited by the smallest of things.
They make life seem so filled with goodness and happiness.
No wonder they're called little bundles of joy.
Can't wait to see them this Saturday. =D

Hexagon
Just some before and after photos that I managed to salvage.
Before.
After.
Still smiling, still rocking, and still brothers for eternity.
Just that I'm lacking of some hair now.
Thank You, for keeping me up till this day.
5 months down, 17 more months to go.
In case anyone doesn't know what it is, I'm counting down to the end of my service as an NSF.
It has been more of a positive challenge than a struggle.
Can't wait for what's in store for me after I've completed my service to my nation.
I'm eager to find out. =)

be aware
People can be so consumed over things in life that they begin to lose their souls.
And it's not rare,
It's everywhere.
It could even be a person close to you.
And you never noticed it one bit.
Idolatry.
Guard your heart.
Before the things that you own, start to own you.
And it's not rare,
It's everywhere.
It could even be a person close to you.
And you never noticed it one bit.
Idolatry.
Guard your heart.
Before the things that you own, start to own you.

experience
A photo that is dear to my heart.
As the saying goes: "seeing is believing."
But I think otherwise.
Seeing is not enough.
One has to feel, grasp, understand and appreciate.
That can only be done through EXPERIENCE.
Today, around 1325 hrs, Jasmine's toe-nail got twisted out of it's position by accident at Expo MRT.
And it hurt badly. Seriously.
What made things worse was that she had to drag herself with a broken toe-nail all the way to Tampines where we had lunch.
Imagine the pain she had to tolerate on the way there.
Furthermore, she was again put in pain when another accident occurred after lunch, making her toe bleed worse than before.
It made today seem very long and excruciating for her.
But don't worry, she's fine and healing fast.
Then a thought came into my mind.
One will never know how much pain Jasmine went through unless he or she has experienced it before.
Likewise, many have not known how much pain Jesus went through when He suffered on the cross two thousand years ago.
If you ask me, "Ryan, you will never know how painful a crucifixion feels like until you suffer the same fate as Him."
True.
But He has showed me a glimpse of it.
He has revealed to me how much pain He had to tolerate to fulfill His purpose.
And my heart breaks just by thanking Him for it.
If one isn't thankful for what He gave two thousand years ago, it's about time to EXPERIENCE it.
Ask Him to reveal and show you a vision of it.
I have experienced a glimpse of His sacrifice.
And it makes me want to carry my cross even stronger.
